Value Added Approach

Murphree Venture Partners is primarily interested in start-up ventures, particularly where we can help conceptualize the opportunity; develop the complete business plan; raise the necessary capital; and get the business launched into the marketplace. Given the firm's long standing experience, this is the type of venture where we can add the most value. Seed and early-stage equity investment is the preferred entry point but we will participate in later-stage funding, where appropriate, in our existing portfolio companies.

As part of this philosophy to be active participants in and supporters to the companies we fund, Murphree Venture Partners has adopted a "Feet on the Street" distributed approach to deal sourcing and company mentoring. We are active participants only in our region of the country, the south and southwestern United States, and two of our principals "work" every investment to provide diverse perspectives and easy access for our entrepreneurs.
